Then our group, ‘De Heeren van Diest’, welcomes you!

 

Still a bit hesitant? No worries: after the first message, we can meet up for a drink so you can ask away about this hobby or our group. Our members look forward to assist and advise you at every step. We understand this isn’t the easiest hobby to begin with, but the feeling of solidarity so closely connected to it makes it even more fun to do.

We’re happy to help you on your way by lending some clothes/material and advise when you’re out looking for your own kit.

Neither should you worry too much about your role in the group: if you want to go out on the battlefield or do you want to sit quietly under our main canopy, everything is possible!

 

New members go through a trial of two years, including five events, before membership is possible. This way members can see if the hobby suits them and decide after this trial period.

At the moment, the membership fee is made up of the total sum for our insurances which is divided equally for each member. This way each member is insured during our activities, like training sessions or camps.

 

Experienced re-enactors are equally welcome: the more the merrier!
